Zermatt was awarded the Families Welcome seal of quality in 2013. This prize is only presented to resorts and holiday destinations that specifically target their offerings to meet the needs of families with children.
Since all of us at Alpine Exposure have children of our own, we definitely know how to faciliate the needs of our clients who want to get their kids out in the snow. Fortunately, there are great beginner areas here in Zermatt. They are sunny, protected from the wind and very easy to access. They are also conveniently located close to the restaurants. And in addition to the skiing, there's also tobagganing (sledding) as well as ice-skating in the village center.
Our friends at Summit Ski School provide excellent English-speaking private and group lesson programs. And their kids groups are particularly designed to maximize fun and skiing potential. They play fun games, make friends, learn about the mountain and progress before they know it.
